Disability Equality

Through our Disability Equality scheme, we have stated that we aim to:

  • Understand the needs and aspirations of disabled people in the communities in which we work

  • Shape our services to meet those needs and aspirations

  • Work with partners to promote community cohesion and positive messages on disability issues

  • Work to eliminate the unlawful discrimination, harassment and disadvantage of disabled people

  • Work towards ensuring our staffing establishment and Board membership includes appropriate
    representation of disabled people

  • Involve and consult customers and representative groups shaping future strategy, action plans and
    monitoring outcomes

  • Comply with statutory requirements and seek to follow good practice

  • Ensure that disability equality considerations are embedded into all parts of our business activities.
